Young people politics and how to participate in them, were discussed in Bansko

Young people from all over the country and local authority’s representatives had a discussion over youth politics on a 6 day meeting that took place near Bansko. The meeting were organized by “Thirst for life”” Association- Sliven. The topic of the discussion was” Young people participation in the local youth politics- structure dialogue with local authorities”.


Discussion forums organized by the "Thirst for Life" are continued

During the whole summer in the office of the "Thirst for Life" was held forums on health rights and access to quality health care, which will continue in the coming months. Forums are involving young people with risk behavior of the Roma community. The most frequently mentioned problem of Roma healthcare is the manifestation of discriminatory practices by doctors to minority groups.


Association ”Thirst for Life” become a part of National Volunteer Network

Since the beginning of September 2013, Association "Thirst for Life" became part of the network of National Alliance for Volunteer Action (NAVA) – Plovdiv By joining the association in the network, Sliven is one of the 35 cities in which there are so called:
"Centers for work with volunteers".


ASSOCIATION "Thirst for Life" is a partner in Program for building YOUTH CENTER in ICHERA

Youth Centre for Education and Inclusion will be built in Ichera . This is a project being carried by Sliven Municipality in partnership with the association " Thirst for Life ." The project cost 1,029,858, 80 € and it is working out under Component 1 of the program "Children and Youth at Risk " funded by Norwegian Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014 year in the period September 2013 - April 2016


Commemorating the European Day of Patient Rights

18th of April is the European Day of Patient Rights, on this occasion, the association "Thirst for Life" organized a discussion forum on health rights of young Roma. Event is part of the "Mission Possible - access to health care for young Roma" under the "Roma Health Project 'Open Society Foundation. During the meeting, young people the Roma community activly joined in the discussion for health rights.


Ambassadors from association "Thirst for Life" visited Kotel

Nearly 30 people, mostly Roma were interested in meeting with representatives of association "Thirst for Life" in Kotel. The organization's coordinator present programs under which they are working. Local people were interested mainly in the field of career development, how to implement into labor market, as well as health education.
