Discussion forums organized by the "Thirst for Life" are continued

During the whole summer in the office of the "Thirst for Life" was held forums on health rights and access to quality health care, which will continue in the coming months. Forums are involving young people with risk behavior of the Roma community. The most frequently mentioned problem of Roma healthcare is the manifestation of discriminatory practices by doctors to minority groups.

According to the young people, this is mainly due to ignorance of health rights.

At the meetings we discuss also the legal obligations to the health of every Bulgarian citizen. Discussion Forums pass in the form of discussion and participation in role-playing games that put young people in real situations.
Weekly meetings with young Roma are organized as part of the project "Mission Possible - access to health care for young Roma" under the Program "Roma Health Project" by Open Society Foundation.
