Commemorating the European Day of Patient Rights

18th of April is the European Day of Patient Rights, on this occasion, the association "Thirst for Life" organized a discussion forum on health rights of young Roma. Event is part of the "Mission Possible - access to health care for young Roma" under the "Roma Health Project 'Open Society Foundation. During the meeting, young people the Roma community activly joined in the discussion for health rights.


European Day is commemorated in the European Union to ensure and protect the rights of patients in Europe and to put citizens at the center of the health policy.

European Day for the protection of patients is indicated since 2007 in order to launch a mass awareness campaign on the 14 rights of patients. It is seen in 27 Member States of the EU.
