“Thirst for life” expressed its solidarity in the International day for empathy with the people infected by HIV/AIDS

spin2By informational campaign the volunteers in” Thirst for life”- Sliven, became a part of the International day for empathy with HIV/AIDS infected people.  “Because of our hard work in this direction, the topic remain public relevant. The interest in safe sexual life is increasing and we consider to continue , because the problem will remain the same after the end of the campaign”-said the volunteers in  the club of “ Thirst for life” by Program ”Prevention and control of HIV/AIDS on Healthcare Ministry.

They met their teenager’s friends in the central city part of Sliven, sharing condoms and brochures.

In the same time volunteers held informational campaign also at the Roma community in Sliven.  The meeting by the tent of “Thirst for life”, evoke a huge interest, and dozens were willing to participate in the games and challenges associated with HIV/AIDS.

The volunteers from EVS by Erasmus+,  in “Thirst for life” also participated in the initiatives for the Day of empathy with HIV/AIDS infected people.

On 17th of May 2015 over 1200 NGO’s from 115 countries all over the world are focusing the public attention toward the problems of HIV syndrome. The English name of the memorial is called Candlelight Memorial or a memorial day with lighted candles. It was celebrated in 1983 for the first time in San Francisco and New York. Anti- AIDS campaign mission is to encourage the health- sexual education and the dialogue inside the fragile communities and accelerating the advocacy activities in direction of actual politics in the field of HIV/AIDS.
